2010 Finals Adjudicators

Mr David Podd M.A. B. Mus.

David Podd's teaching career includes the post of Director of Music at Magdalen College School, Oxford and the North London Collegiate School. He also teaches opera courses for the Workers' Education Association. He is a busy lecture-recitalist and composer, with works performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and St. John's, Smith Square. He also works in St. Albans as a free-lance chamber music coach, and, with the Oxford & Cambridge Board, is a visiting examiner for the Performance Unit for A level music.

Viviane Ronchetti B.Mus GRSM ARMCM

Viviane Ronchetti has been Director of the National Youth Strings Academy since 1995 and was professor of violin at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Junior department from 2003 until 2008. As a specialist Strings adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals, she travels extensively in UK and was invited to Hong Kong in 2007 to adjudicate at the Hong Kong Schools’ Music Association Festival.

David Oliver ARAM ARCM LRAM

David Oliver has travelled widely as an examiner, undertaking tours to Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. He also works as an adjudicator at music festivals and has recently made his third appearance as one of a team of judges at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
