2010 Finals Adjudicators

Dr. Helena Gaunt PhD

Dr Helena Gaunt is Assistant Principal of Research and Academic Development of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. As a professional oboist she plays in the orchestra of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Garsington Opera, and the Composers’ Ensemble. She was a member of the Britten Sinfonia and Haffner Wind Ensemble until 2004.

Viviane Ronchetti B.Mus GRSM ARMCM

Viviane Ronchetti has been Director of the National Youth Strings Academy since 1995 and was professor of violin at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Junior department from 2003 until 2008. As a specialist Strings adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals, she travels extensively in UK and was invited to Hong Kong in 2007 to adjudicate at the Hong Kong Schools’ Music Association Festival.

David Oliver ARAM ARCM LRAM

David Oliver has travelled widely as an examiner, undertaking tours to Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. He also works as an adjudicator at music festivals and has recently made his third appearance as one of a team of judges at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
